Episode Spotlight

SEASON 7, EPISODE 7: tom will tell

One of Tom's all-time favorite songs and Chris' playlist pick for Episode 7.  The clip comes from a great documentary about the band Lucero, titled "Dreaming in America."

SEASON 7, EPISODE 6: BUILD-A-PLAYLIST WITH SPECIAL GUEST, BREt figura

One of Bret Figura's Staff Picks.  A great compilation of African pop music.

Season 7, episode 5: chris and tell

Official music video of Chris' Episode 5 playlist pick.

Season 7, episode 3: old playlists

A beautiful rendition of Tanner Usrey's "Beautiful Lies," performed with Ella Langley

Season 7, episode 4: to whammy or not to whammy

Ladies and gentlemen, the unforgettable White Goodman. . .

Season 7, episode 2: The Beer Curve, Part 4

Great live, rendition of Tom's 4th choice in the "Drinking Songs Draft" from  Season 7, Episode 2.

Season 7, episode 1: bloodshot records

The trailer for "Don't Turn Your Back on Friday Night," Tom's staff pick from our Season 7 premiere.  5/5 Egg Burritos with Sour Cream!

Season 6, episode 10: The year 2000

Great scene from Chris's recommendation for the year 2000. "You must have needed this every day!" Nothing like scotch from a paper cup.

Season 6, episode 9: bad beats and tough losses

The kitchen cabinet scene from Tom's 1999 recommended documentary, "American Movie."  Like the film, it is somehow hilarious and sad at the same time.  (This is a runner-up, because we were unable to locate suitable YouTube video of Will Forte's classic SNL locker room dance sketch--you can find the sketch on TikTok).

Season 6, Episode 8: oh. canada?

One of Canada's greatest imports:  "The Ham of Truth" sketch from Kids in the Hall.  Running time is 7:06, and it's worth every second.

Season 6, Episode 7: post-pop punk

Live performance of Chris' Episode 7 Staff Pick, Whitney Houston's National Anthem, by Matt Nathanson (without the Indigo Girls)

Season 6, Episode 6: The alternative to alternative

Tom's staff pick for this episode was the newly released Season 3 of Reacher.  However, this scene from Season 2 may be the most memorable thing from the series.
